Croppin' Time Somewhere!

Hello guys!!

I know it has been forever since I lasted posted...I really have been so busy with baby Juliette that I have really neglected my blog! So, sorry about that guys! But, I am back and promise to post more!!

First things first...I am pleased to announce that Scrapalicious will be attending another wonderful event in the Lafayette area! Treasured MemoriesScrapbook store which is located in Lafayette is putting on a wonderful event this summer. The event will take place July 8th - July 11th at the Rayne Civic Center. It is 4 full days of cropping and the cost is $125.00 for all 4 days! Spots are filling up fast, but after speaking with Janet their are still some spots open...so if you are interested go to there website for more details!

Next, important announcement! Scrapalicious is having a sale and the biggest one we have had yet!! 40% off everything in the store!! Yes, that is right 40% off! There are a few expections (new products received...like october afternoon is not on sale and some tim holtz products)

The sale will last from Friday, May 21st - Thursday, May 27th!! So, come by and stock up on some items for really cheap!

Third...Scrapalicious will be having a scrapbook garage sale....June 11, 12, & 13th. So how does this work? Well, begin by going through your scrapbook stash and anything that is in good condition and worthy of selling that you no longer want or think you will use...put in a bag, price it, and put your initials on the price tag...and bring it down to Scrapalicious!! We will put your items out for the garage sale weekend and if they sell you get a store credit in the amount that was sold! So, begin cleaning out those scrapbook bags and rooms and see what is worthy of selling...and earn a store credit without having to have your own garage sale. All scrapbook items are welcomed...including storage and organization items. Also please feel free to bring other crafting items to!

Lastly, Miss Juliette Marie is a month old today!! I have been very sleep deprived but truly loving every moment of being her mom!!

Stampin up class this Saturday & Crop!

Hey guys!

Just a reminder that Saturday, March 27th at 11:00 am we are having our monthly stampin up class. Also, we are having a crop for those of you who need to catch up on some scrappin!! The store opens at 10:00 am so you can come early or late (but you are free to crop until the wee hours of the morning if you want!) Open your email that I sent out...print the coupon and receive a free crop on Saturday!

 For those of you who have never been to one of my stampin up classes...please join me if your schedule is open.  Each month I teach various stampin techniques, card making skills, and/or creative projects using some of my favorite products from stampin up! The class is free if you purchase $20 or more from the stampin up catalog. If you have never been to the stampin up website make sure to click on the link above...this week is the last week to take advantage of the wonderful sale-a-bration promotion that stampin up is offering! Earn free stamp sets when you come to class with me!!

Here are the projects we are doing on Saturday...

The easter bunny that you see is made from clay!! It looks like a real chocolate bunny in person! If you haven't been to the store in a while...one of my wonderful customers Ms. Myrna Bourg is now making handmade clay buttons and embellishments for the store! They are so cute and they are flying off the shelf! This chocolate bunny was stamped using one of the wooden stamps from the stampin up catalog...it really came out adorable!

The 2nd project that we will be doing on Saturday...is a skinny notebook made with stampin up cardstock. This is such an easy project to make....my title is websites and blogs, but you can make a skinny little notebook for your grocery list, to do list, creative ideas, etc....

It is prefect to keep next to your computer, in your purse, or on your desk...right there for you to jot down all the important things in your life!!

The projects will be in the store so you guys can see how they were made.

This past Friday we had a crop and I had so much fun catching up with friends...I love hanging out with these girls...here are a few pics that I took....but I feel a little bad because I didn't get to snap pics of every one at the crop...

Kendra had so much fun....we stayed at the store until 4 am (we didn't want to leave...I haven't got to do that in a while!!) She is coming back for round 2 this weekend....can't wait!!

Cricut Class this Saturday!

Hi everyone!

Just to let you know that this Saturday, March 6th at 1:00 pm Ms. Jan Crochet will be teaching a Cricut Class at the store! You guys are sure to learn lots from her!! All participants will be etching on glass (wine glasses), learning how to cut and use vinyl, cut various embellishments and chipboard letters for your layout. If you are interested in learning more about your cricut machine, but don't feel like you even know the basics...don't worry you will still be able to manage this class...we are here to help you!

Class Cost: $25

Supplies to bring to class:

-Your cricut machine (and a small extension cord)

-2 mats (either new or fairly new)

-make sure to have a new cricut blade (or fairly new one)

-Adhesive and pop dots

-Scissors

-Any of your cricut tools

-Paper cutter

 

Optional items (that will be used in class, so if you have them please bring it)

-Deep cut blade

-Tim Holtz distressing ink (vintage photo, broken china, & peeled paint)

-Tim Holtz blender tool

-Your laptop with the design studio program

Ashley's Class this Saturday!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to remind you that Ashley will be teaching a precious Valentine inspired class this Saturday, Jan. 30th at 11:00 am. You guys don't want to miss out on this class...all participants will complete a mini album using 6" sewing looms! The mini album will consist of 6 mini pages that are embellished to inspire!! Glitz Girls are coming to Scrapalicious!! Sign up today!!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to pass on all the information about the Glitz girlscoming to Thibodaux!! I'm so excited that they will be able to teach at the store on Saturday, Feb. 6th!! I originally thought they would only be able to come on Friday, but they have confirmed and said they will be able to come on Saturday night instead! They will be teaching two classes on Saturday...one beginning at 6 pm and the other beginning at 8 pm. So, you can choose to take both classes or just one...which ever you like!!

Here are the two classes that will be taught...

Class Cost $35

We are using lots of fun mediums in this class! We'll be working with canvas, cardboard, rub ons, stickers, paints, and much more. Once we are done you will have a utterly fabulous 9x9 Album completed and ready to gift or keep for yourself!

Class Cost: $40
  

First we will start out by painting , rubbing, sanding, sticking and embellishing to turn a simple wooden birdhouse into a gorgeous work of art. We will then make 30 tiny notes and suggestions that will fit perfectly in the birdhouse. Instructions for Use- Draw out one notecard a day, each card will inspire you, make you laugh or give you something special to DO that day. 

I am so excited about Glitz's new releases for CHA...here is a sneak peak...but believe me the best is yet to come...the embellishments are to die for this year!! Can't wait to have them!! Because Glitz is coming teach at the store we will have there CHA products right away...everything is sooo yummmy!!

New Year...New Look...New Products....New Classes!

Hi everyone!

Hope you and your families had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! My Christmas was wonderful, but so sad that it went so fast. Seth and I have been busy with Jacques, work, and the store...but we are really loving every minute of it! These last few days we have been working really hard on fixing the store up and changing things up a little bit.

A huge thanks goes out to my BFF Ashley (my newly engaged BFF) for helping me clean up, reorganize, and rearrange Scrapalicious!! Much thanks to Taylor...my hard working employee for all her help this weekend (and taylor's mom...Jody....thank you!!) Since, I am now 6 mths. preg....everyone fusses me when I try to move things around the store....so their help was much appreciated!

In case you guys didn't know but Ashley is engaged and Shane has placed a beautiful, beautiful ring on her finger...she will be around the store a good bit this month so make sure to check it out or you can get all the scoop on her blog! I am so happy for them two and can't wait to see them build a little life together! I am so happy to be a part of her wedding day and can't wait to share in the madness of wedding planning. I'm sure you guys will be seeing many, many post of wedding projects we will be working on throughout this year!

So every year many of you may partake in the New Years resolution tradition...most of the time I do too! Usually, I use this time in the year to set goals for myself, reorganize, and plan for the months ahead...but, Ashley has given me a really great idea and I can't wait to do it....that is why we are making a class out of it! So, join us this Saturday for another out the box class just for you!!

Class: Ashley's Promises...

Every year we all make New Years resolutions, but how many of us actually keep them? This year let's make promises to all the things we will do....and how about we promise to not do some things too! Join us for a 12x12 chipboard layout class filled with inspiration, fun, the new Studio Calico products, an altered hanger, and a little polaroid treat! The class cost is $25 and if you sign up for the class you can attend the all day crop on Saturday for free too!

Techniques learned....if you have taken a class from Ashley before you know you will always walk away thinking "I would have never thought of that"...well this class is no different! Everyone will be decoupaging using everyday items like the reusable shopping bags from Scrapalicious, altering a hanger so your promises can be displayed in your favorite area, and practicing your journaling skills!! Make sure to come prepared with your list of "I willl..." & "I won't" for the new year...then be ready to smile for your first mini Polaroid to add to your layout!!

My favorite part of the store...is the new "General Store" section featuring one of a kind vintage items for all your scrapbook and craft projects! The "Very Vintage" class was such a hit and the "general store" set up that day was such a success that we have decided to expand that portion of the store! We have a new look, new products, and new classes...so be sure to drop by! Can't wait to see you guys!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and very Happy New Year...Seth and I wish you a blessed year and we thank you for supporting Scrapalicious this year! Jacques got a drum set for Christmas, so here he is playing it at my parents house Christmas morning! We had to pack the drum set up after he opened presents at our house and bring it to my parents house so he could show his Mia & Pops!

This fun, little pumpkin is Nicole Petersen's upcoming class on Sat., Oct. 10th. You will be creating a home decor item that features your favorite family picture! Of course, you will get to choose your own paper and a few embellishments. This is a great way to spruce-up your home for the holidays. Nicole's favorite part of this project is that it can be on display for two months, October and November! Join us on Saturday for this class and the all day crop.
