Many of you know...as I sent out an email at the beginning of the week that Scrapalicious will be closing. It is a bitter sweet moment for me because I have been praying and thinking about this for quite a while now, but I definitely know I am making the right decision!
I first want to thank all of my wonderful customers who have made this a reality! Scrapalicious was a dream of mine and at 26 years old I made it happen (thanks to alot of really great people in my life!!) A few years later I look back and I feel so blessed to have met such wonderful people from so many different walks of life that had I not opened a store...I would have probably never met! You guys have brought so much joy and creativity to my life!!
I next want to thank all the sweet people who have sent emails and kind words to let me know how much they support my decision, but that they will still miss Scrapalicious! Thank you so much...it really means alot to hear! You have such a special place in my heart!
Seth and I have thought about this for a while now and have gone back and fourth with the decision, but I truly know that my decision is what is best for me, my husband, and my children. I have been known to take on so many different things...my plate is not full...it is overflowing!!! But, that is something at this point in my life I want to change...I need to take things off my plate!! Besides a growing family, I work full time in a job that I absolutely love and I am finishing graduate school (in counseling psychology)....so the store was another job / responsibility for me and something had to give!!
Yes...Scrapalicious is closing but Ashley Robinson will be continuing the creativity in Thibodaux!! I am super excited about this because Ashley is just the right person for the job...creating is her passion and I know she will pour all of it into her store! Some people wanted to know if she was keeping the store in the same location and stuff...but let me clarify...she will be opening a new store in Thibodaux once Scrapalicious closes and it will be in a new location! So, I will be helping her along the way and I will be by her side when she opens and to help her with classes and crops! So, you guys will still see me and I will finally get back to my favorite things...the thing that motivated me to open the store in the first place...being creative!!
I will make regular post to keep you updated on the status of everything!! So check back!!
Store hours have changed please take note!!

Here is a blast from the past and some wonderful memories I have made at Scrapalicious!!
Getting my first boxes of inventory in!! That is the best thing about owning a store...unpacking all that goodness!!
Wow...we worked so hard on that store and getting it ready!!
Jacques wasn't even a year old and he was working hard already!! I can't believe how fast time passes...we already have baby number two...Juliette Marie!! They are the reason I get up every morning and work so hard...but I don't want to work so hard that I miss out on things in their life and they are the number one reason I am saying goodbye. As I type this message, I am holding Juliette and tears rolling down my face because of this bitter sweet moment, but I am finding comfort in the fact that I won't miss out on precious moments with them any more!
Wow...is all I can say....my husband has been so supportive of me and the store, he has been there when things were crazy, busy, rough, long and everything else in between. The thing I love the most about him is that he has always let me dream and he supports me through it all. Not only does he let me dream, but with him I can make those dreams reality! It is hard for a husband to understand the concept of a scrapbooking store...most men would find that hard to get into...don't you think? But, my hubby did it because he knew I loved it and I appreciate that more than anything...it says so much about the man he is.
Me and Ashley at our very first event (Girls Gone Crafty!) Here is where we met some of our dearest customers!!
Thank you all for your support...I appreciate you shopping local and supporting your local scrapbook store!
A big thanks to Ashley for all your help through the years (I am so glad I will be able to help you now!), Taylor....you have helped me so much this year and you hard work and dedication is so much appreciated...I love you and will always be here to help you in any way! Angie and Jesi thank you so much for helping at the store...I appreciate all your hard work!
All my love!!
